    • Online Correction (except Add Challan to Statement) related to
      Form Type 26Q, Q2 has been disabled for F.Y. 2022-23 due to
      ongoing changes in system as per notification no. 67/2022.
      Please file Correction statements using Consolidated File
    • Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the due date
      of filing of Form 26Q for the second quarter of Financial Year
      2022-23 from 31st October, 2022 to 30th November, 2022
    • The due date of filing of Form 24Q and Form 27Q, for the Quarter-2
      of F.Y. 2022-23 is 31st October 2022. The due date of filing
      Form 26Q, for Quarter-2 of F.Y. 2022-23 has been extended from
      31st October 2022 to 30th November 2022. Deductors are advised to
      file the TDS statement for Quarter-2 of F.Y. 2022-23 before the due
      date to avoid late filing fees u/s 234E of the Income Tax Act 1961.
    • Deductors are advised to download Form 16/16A/27D for F.Y.
      2021-22 to avoid inconvenience to taxpayers. Downloading of
      TDS/TCS Certificates from TRACES is mandatory & only such
      certificates are valid. Non compliance of the same attracts
      penalty under the Income-tax Act 1961.
    • A new utility version 2.7 of Excel Generation utility
      has been rolled out for Justification report.
      Please download and use latest utility version for
      Justification report requests.
    • PAN based 26QD Correction Functionality has been
      enabled at TRACES website for submitting
      online correction requests.
    • Em-signer for DSC installed prior to Mar 19, 2022
      must be uninstalled and then reinstalled due to the
      addition of a new patch. For detail steps please visit
      TRACES Web Signer Setup V 2.0 link under Download section.
    • PAN based Refund Functionality has been enabled at
      TRACES website for submitting online refund request
      relating to Form 26QB/26QC/26QD.

TRACES is a web-based application of the Income Tax Department that provides an interface to all stakeholders associated with TDS administration. It enables viewing of challan status, downloading of Conso File, Justification Report and Form 16 / 16A as well as viewing of annual tax credit statements (Form 26AS).

Updates
  • 26QB Correction functionality has been enabled on Tax Payer login -> 26QB -> Online Correction. Buyer of property can only submit request and file correction.
    Please refer the checklist displayed before filing correction for details.
    Default Summary and Justification Report will also be available in
    26QB tab for Buyer's login.
